Die USATC-Klasse S 160 waren Kriegslokomotiven des United States Army Transportation Corps (USATC).
Es wurden von Baldwin, ALCO und LIMA mehr als 2100 Stück gefertigt.
Das Lichtraumprofil entsprach den englische Fahrzeugbegrenzungslinien, die zu den kleinsten von Vollspurbahnen gelten,
wodurch dies Lok annähernd weltweit einsetzbar war:
Großbritannien, gesamt Kontinentaleuropa, Nord Afrika, Türkei, Sowjetunion, China, Indien,
Jamaika, Mexico, Peru und natürlich in den USA
Einige S 160 gingen durch Aktivitäten im Seekrieg verloren,
aber eine dieser Loks überquerte den Atlantik dreimal (Alaska-Spanien)

The USATC class S 160 were wartime locomotives of the United States Army Transportation Corps (USATC).
More than 2100 units were built by Baldwin, ALCO and LIMA.
The clearance gauge corresponded to the English vehicle gauge lines, which are among the smallest of all-gauge railroads,
which meant that this locomotive could be used almost anywhere in the world:
Great Britain, all of continental Europe, North Africa, Turkey, the Soviet Union, China, India,
Jamaica, Mexico, Peru and of course in the USA
Some S 160s were lost in naval action,
but one of these locomotives crossed the Atlantic three times (Alaska-Spain)
