The Navigator handheld controller from Massoth has been on the market since 2005, and its exterior has remained virtually unchanged.
But inside, its technology has evolved, not only in terms of the radio standard of 2.4 GHz.
Progress now means that some formerly installed electronic elements are no longer available on the market,
and this will make certain repairs more difficult in the foreseeable future.
„To this day, we still offer a repair service for navigators of the first generation within the scope of the technical possibilities,
but this increasingly leads to difficulties, since the components installed at that time are no longer available as spare parts,“
Daniel Massoth explained to Gartenbahn Profi the background of a trade-in campaign that has now been started.
The component shortage currently applies to the display, which is now being used in a third version as of 2018;
here, the repair stocks of the previously installed small screens have now been used up at Massoth.
Therefore, display damage on all navigators built before 2018 can no longer be repaired.

Customers who call an „old“ navigator – whether defective or functional –
their own can benefit from a trade-in offer starting in October. Anyone who sends in
their Dimax Navigator to Massoth after a recommended prior arrangement will receive a new Navigator 2.4GHz.

Please note that the hand controller equipped with a 2.4GHz radio chip is not compatible with the old Dimax radio technology (EU/US)
and therefore an additional radio receiver of the new generation (8131001) must be purchased for radio use.
In the case of cable-only use, a 1:1 exchange is possible without additional components.
