Im Jahre 1921 – also vor 100 Jahren – wurden die ersten Krokodile der RhB,
die Elektroloks der Baureihe Ge 6/6 I, von der SLM in Winterthur geliefert.
Mit einer Leistung von 800 kW und einer Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 55 km/h
genügten die 66 Tonnen schweren Loks den damaligen Anforderungen vollauf,
so dass insgesamt 15 Stück davon zum Einsatz kamen.
Ab den 80er Jahren wurden sie durch modernere Loks ersetzt,
so dass heute nur noch 2 Stück – allerdings sehr gut gepflegte Exemplare –
im Einsatz vor Sonderzügen, aber auch im Regelbetrieb vor historischen Wagen stehen.

the class Ge 6/6 I electric locomotives, were delivered by SLM in Winterthur.

the 66-ton locomotives fully met the requirements of the time,
A total of 15 of these locomotives were put into service.
From the 1980s, they were replaced by more modern locomotives,
so that today only 2 locomotives – but very well maintained examples – are in use
are still in service in front of special trains, but also in regular service in front of historic cars.
